Beginner principle: Understand the mechanics and risks before buying. Knowing orders, settlement, and costs matters more than finding a hot tip.

Regular trading runs 9:00–13:30

TWSE regular-session matching runs from 9:00 to 13:30 on trading days, while ordinary orders can be entered from 8:30.

Pre-open information is not a guaranteed execution price

The 8:30–9:00 period includes order entry and indicative auction information. The opening price is determined by auction rules.

Odd lots have a separate matching process

Intraday odd-lot orders are accepted from 9:00 to 13:30, with matching beginning at 9:10 and currently occurring every five seconds by auction.

There are after-hours sessions too

After-hours fixed-price orders run 14:00–14:30, while after-hours odd-lot orders run 13:40–14:30 under separate rules.
