A pension-relinquishment mechanism was introduced
In 2026, BLI published a mechanism allowing certain old-age or disability pension recipients to apply in writing to relinquish full monthly pension payments, notably where pension income can affect social-assistance eligibility.
Not every pension is covered
Occupational accident pensions are not included, and survivor benefits follow different rules.
