Ordinary sickness benefit helps replace lost income
It applies only when statutory conditions are met.
The basic amount is half of average insured salary
BLI guidance uses 50% of average monthly insured salary for ordinary sickness or injury.
Duration depends on insurance service
The normal maximum is six months, with an additional six months possible when prior coverage is at least one year.
Occupational injury uses a different system
Work-related injuries and disease are primarily handled under Occupational Accident Insurance rules.
